Bakone Development Agency (BDA) is excited to announce its strategic partnership with Mopani District Municipality (MDM) to advance Local Economic Development (LED) initiatives. This collaboration aligns with the District Development Model (DDM), which emphasises inclusive partnerships between government entities and civil society organisations to maximise developmental impact.
The partnership focuses on unlocking national and international funding opportunities for cooperatives in the district. BDA will play a pivotal role in developing funding proposals and managing donor grants to bolster sustainable economic growth and empower cooperatives. Importantly, this collaboration comes at no financial cost to the municipality.
MDM’s PED Directorate will spearhead the process, clearly outlining the roles and responsibilities of each partner. Through this partnership, both entities aim to catalyse impactful development that uplifts communities and strengthens cooperative enterprises.
BDA looks forward to working with MDM to create opportunities that foster economic empowerment and drive inclusive growth in the region.
